NYC lovin'

In honor of going to New York this weekend, I dedicated a little post. Of course I need the essentials for the Big Apple this time of year; scarves, hats, and boots. I can't wait to experience some chilly weather, even if it means a cold is underway.

When I first moved into my apartment, I knew I wanted it to look like a loft in the Upper East Side. Considering I don't live in New York and it's just a regular ole' apartment, I added my own spin on things. I finally believed in love at first sight when I saw this wallpaper online at Urban Outfitters. Since there was no way I was going to get a brick wall, this was the next best thing. Then of course I have the white iron bed with this amazing headboard, but the wall just wasn't complete with my gigantic, canvas of New York City. Sometimes I stare into the picture and just envision myself walking through the busy streets, running to get coffee for Miranda Priestly...I mean, oops. Sometimes I like to think I'm Anne Hathaway's character in The Devil Wears Prada. Regardless, NYC is where my hearts resides.

Apparently overpacking isn't allowed when you're flying. Well, it is but that's only if you want to pay a weight overage fee for how heavy your suitcase is. I'm so thrilled to finally be in a place where I feel like I can truly express myself and be 100% me. I'm born and raised in Florida, but I've never met someone who less of a Florida girl than I am; I will live in the city one day. There's something about the hustle of the city, always on the go atmosphere that I crave and I'll be counting down the days 'til I can make that dream into a reality.  For now, these next 3 days will have to do.
